Dr. Mishka Terplan, MD MPH FACOG Diplomat ABAM, serves as the Medical Director for Behavioral Health System Baltimore (BHS). He joined BHS in 2014 and provides senior level medical and clinical management support, participates in quality assessment and improvement initiatives and takes part in a variety of city-wide public health programs. Dr. Terplan completed his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco and his Residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles County Hospital. After residency he completed the TECT (Training in Epidemiology and Clinical Trials) fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where he obtained a Master of Public Health in epidemiology. He is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and addiction medicine. Prior to coming to BHS Baltimore he was on faculty at the University of Chicago and, more recently, at the University of Maryland. His clinical work and research has focused on the intersection of reproductive health and addictions.
Dr. Terplan will be presenting in the 8th Annual InWomen’s Conference on Friday June 12,2015 at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The title of his talk is: Beyond Pregnancy: Addressing the reproductive health needs of women with substance use disorders.
